Inner Sanctuary Journalling Workshop October 11th 7-9pm

£12.00

Spend a wonderfully mindful evening, winding down after a long week.

We begin with some gentle movement and breathwork to release out any tension and knots, bringing a sense of calm to your mind and nervous system. A guided meditation, deepens your connection to self and will help you respond to the themes in the journalling exercises. This month we are looking at celebrating our successes and finding balance.

Join us for a blissfully relaxing and reflective evening at our beautiful new home, The Garden Studio, Heapey, Chorley

October brings delights and challenges in equal measure. After September with its vain hope of an Indian Summer, October is defiant in its Autumnal stance, everything says, “Prepare for Winter!” So, in an effort to slow down and be more reflective, even though the television and shops are already ramming the C word down our throats, let’s find a space to breathe, to gather ourselves, to reflect on what truly matters to us and to give our hearts the chance to speak.

So let’s embrace the need for cosiness, for soft lights, for hush. Let’s reflect on the falling leaves and the fleetingly colourful burst they bring into our lives.

The session begins, as always, with some mindful movement and breathwork designed to release tension from the body and nervous system. We then move into our safe space of guided journalling and reflection, with sharing if you wish to. We complete with a meditation and then drift out in a blissful state, ready for the weekend.

Journaling is a wonderful way for you to release stress, anxiety and tension. It is your processing method when confusion and fogginess strike. And it is your voice when you feel as though you are shouting into the void with nobody really hearing you.

It can be your very own way of making sense of not only the world around you but of yourself too. Our words have a wonderful way of spilling out from our subconscious when we allow them to. Thoughts that we might not otherwise know how to articulate if we were trying to say them to another person without getting this clarity beforehand.

Bad spelling, poor grammar and no idea about punctuation are also welcomed in with open arms and a complete absence of judgement.

Please bring along an exercise mat and blanket and a pen. A journal/notebook is optional as guided writing materials will be provided.

Tea/herbal tea and coffee will be provided.

I am looking forward so much to welcoming you here.
