What could be a more magical way to celebrate the Solstice than coming to join us for a woodland celebration.

On the shortest day we welcome the light by decorating the Yule log for the fire and lighting candles. The fairy lights will be twinkling and mulled apple punch (alcohol free) will be warming.

Join Sarah Wordsworth, horticulturalist, poet and storyteller to learn all about the sacred plants used to celebrate the season and to listen to tales and poetry around the fire. Hear how the Blackbird, the Vixen and the Hare reacted to the first Solstice and how the Moon shone her light to make the ice and the snow sparkle.

Tickets are £8 per person.

21st December 2:30 to 4:30pm

Please dress appropriately for the weather and feel free to bring blankets and cushions. You might like to bring a torch, if you don’t have one on your phone, for the walk back to the car. We hope to be outside, around the campfire if possible, but we have a lovely big bell tent with a wood burner should the weather be less than ideal.

The event will take place in a lovely woodland just on the edge of Haigh Country park which has ample parking spaces and there is a toilet. Follow 53.580032,-2.623752 on Google Maps or ///online.vibes.rents on What3Words. .

We look forward to welcoming you!
