Pilates
It’s Sarah here, from Creative-Wellbeing.
Pilates is a mode of exercise that is incredibly adaptable and versatile. We might do some standing work, including improving your balance, and then maybe some kneeling (if you are able) and a bit of lying down. I make sure that you have worked from your top to your toes, including really important factors like your breath, your feet and your backs and shoulders. Pilates is like WD40 for your body. Stick with it and you’ll feel amazing.
If we’re in person then class numbers are small, around 6 people, so you will not be left floundering at the back, wondering if you’re doing it right. I’ll be there to help and guide you all the way so you get the most out of your sessions. With many years of experience, specialist qualifications and additional training, I am able to safely modify movement for you if have injuries, long-term health conditions or specific needs. Most of what we do relates to everyday life to make your day-to-day living better and easier. Exercise should be fun and functional.
If we’re online together then expect to feel like you’re in a real class. I’ll guide you, demonstrate, give you some top tips on how to make exercises work for your body and talk to you as though we’re in the same room.
I have a level 3 diploma in teaching Pilates along with specialist qualifications in Spinal conditions, Pelvic Dysfunction, Scoliosis, Antenatal exercise, post-natal exercise, shoulder dysfunction, Breast Cancer – post surgery exercise and Pilates apparatus and additional training in barre, foot and leg function, osteoporosis and small apparatus.
